For years, many people have been looking for the ideal, healthy diet and it may have been right in front of them the whole time. The Mediterranean Diet is one of the newest health food crazes because it allows people to be healthy while still feeling satisfied after a meal or snack. A favorite Mediterranean snack or appetizer is Italian bread dipping. Many people love it because it is easy to prepare, fun to eat, and a good social appetizer. All that you do is just pour a blend of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar into a bread dipping dish along with your favorite Mediterranean herbs and spices. Then, cut a warm slice of bread from a French, ciabatta, focaccia, sourdough or other bread loaf that you purchased from a nearby bakery or deli.

Just dip the slice of bread into the oil mixture and enjoy! A bread dipping party is also a good idea for entertaining friends on a cold night.
